    1. When I was a tween, I loved Goosebumps. I read them whenever I could, and I just thought R.L. Stine was the best author ever. His plotlines were just crazy enough to entice and glue my middle school self to the pages, and I liked that they were a little bit scary with a little touch of chill, though they never gave me nightmares. And the covers, with the ooze? I loved them. I loved to touch them and I had a small collection on my bookshelf… at one point I actually planned to begin with book 1 [...]

    2. Jay has just moved to a new town with his parents and sister. Almost immediately, things get weird. For one thing, there are lawn gnomes EVERYWHERE. And if you turn away for a second, the gnomes are in different positions or even different places. And people don't go out at night. When Jay starts questioning this, no one will tell him anything. He gets a lot of evasions and mumbled "You know" but he doesn't. What's wrong with the town? When I was younger, I read a lot of R.L. Stine novels. I was e [...]

    3. R.L.Stine was one of my favourite authors when I was growing up so when I saw this book on netgalley I jumped at the chance to read it. This bookR.L.Stine was one of my favourite authors when I was growing up so when I saw this book on netgalley I jumped at the chance to read it. This book was everything I remembered and loved about R.L.Stine. The horror in the book seemed a bit more predictable to me but this might be due to the fact I am a lot older than the intended reading age for these book [...]

    4. I read this book because when my grand daughter was young, we bought her many Goosebumps books, but I never took time to read any of them. She loved them. Then after the Goosebumps movie came out, I was curious about these books.I found the book to be silly, and the storyline very shallow. I realize these books are written for children and not adults. Perhaps I am too old to read them and understand what the big draw was to my grand daughter. I will say, that although I am not impressed with thi [...]

    5. Jay was pretty horrendous, but later he got better. What was really good was the story. Though the ending *shakes head* Typical R.L. Stine!

    6. I read the book Goosebumps Planet of The Lawn Gnomes by R.L. Stine. It is about a 12 year old boy named Jay, and Jay has just moved to a new town with his parents and sister. Almost immediately, things get weird. For one thing, there are lawn gnomes everywhere. And if you turn away for a second, the gnomes are in different positions or even different places. And the people in his neighborhood don't go out at night. When Jay starts questioning this, no one will tell him anything, everyone he asks [...]

    7. I brought home some books from my school library to read over break so I could be a better librarian for them. I was and always will be a Goosebumps girl. I used to have pretty much the whole paperback series when I was younger, and I hate that I don’t have them now. This story seemed very familiar, even down to the twist ending, but it’s a new Goosebumps series that came out in 2012, so I definitely haven’t read it before. But I know Goosebumps books have a formula, and it’s good and it [...]

    8. First experience with RL Stine. Narrative was OK. I really disliked the short cliff-hanger endings, personally, but I can see how they could be interesting/encouraging to young readers. The ending felt super abrupt, expanding the world too quickly. That said, Harper dug it, and was truly creeped out by the ending. She's already reading another Goosebumps book, so, mission accomplished, I guess.Editor's note: apparently I lied about this being the first Goosebumps book I read, having reading one [...]

    9. ~~SPOILER ALERT~~Jay Garner is misbehaved kid. He gets a fresh start at a new town so he gets another chance. Jay is new to town so he rides around looking for something to do. He notices that a lot of houses have gnomes in the front yard and is a little creeped out about that. He is also creeped out by the fact that everyone is afraid to go out at night. He runs into a kid named Elliot and they become friends. The problem is that jay keeps on getting caught in bad situations. He just can't help [...]

    10. My 6yo got another Goosebumps book from the library this week. It's a quick read. More twists and cliffhangers every chapter. Fun to watch a 6yo try to figure out the twists that are so far fetched even I couldn't predict the ending. A twilight zone for kids to be sure.

    11. So as I was in the library with my son I noticed a blast from the past, Goosebumps!!! I decided why not give it a quick read and it actually wasn't too bad at all. RL Stine had a great plot and a great end with a sneaky twist to it.

    12. Jay a kid that need to move neighborhoods because he fired his house and the judge told his dad that if thy didn't move neighborhoods they will send Jay to Gail so they had to move Jay went with his family to a neighborhood that all the houses had lawn gnomes in front of their porches and Jay thought that it was super wired that not even a single house had no lawn gnomes NOT EVEN A SINGLE ONE!!!.That is petty wired is in it anyways lets keep on going, one night Jay went out of his house with ou [...]

    13. Joe Burton's problem with malevolent lawn gnomes has now become Jay Gardener's, and there's a lot more unnerving paranormal activity for Jay to contend with than ever afflicted Joe in the first Goosebumps lawn gnome adventure, Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes. Twelve-year-old Jay moved with his parents and younger sister to a new town only weeks ago after some unexplained transgression he committed traumatized the family, but Jay doesn't seem to have learned the lesson and toned down his mischievous b [...]

    14. planet of the lawn gnomes by R.L. Stine is a shocker book at the end of the book. So jay Gardener is the bad kid always getting in trouble. he moved to a new town and he finds lawn gnomes in everyone's yard and he is confused because after every night they keep moving to different places so he wants to find out why so one night after dark he goes out and finds a gnomes so he pokes it and it is all squishy then it talks and says hey what are you doing and two gnomes try to catch him and he runs b [...]

    15. Planet of the Lawn Gnomes is the first in a new (yes NEW) Goosebumps series. I know right? Kudos to R.L. Stine for keeping the Goosebumps series going though! For the record, lawn gnomes are creepy. Like seriously, they're creepy. Almost as creepy as those angel statues people have in their yards sometimes where it looks like they're looking into a pond? Yeah, creepy. What's up with those?! So I personally thought this book was going to up the creep factor based on the fact that it had lawn gnom [...]

    16. I think that Goosebumps Most Wanted is a very good book because it has a plotting twist. There was a kid named Jay he had to move citys because he burned down his house Jay would always Prank his neighbors but he didn't know that he wasn't supposed to go out at night until he found out.In the beginning Jay saw people working on his neighbors house they left for lunch and Jay saw a ladder and grabbed the ladder and put it against the open window and grabbed a trash can and poured all the trash in [...]

    17. Jay is not a particularly good kid. He's really mean to Mr. McClatchy, his new neighbor, playing small tricks on him like leaning a ladder up against his house and putting trash in his mail box. His dad has little patience with him, since we find out later in the book that Jay's behavior is what caused the family to have to move. Jay is kept on kind of a tight leash, but keeps getting in trouble. He meets Elliot and befriends him, but the two end up in quick sand, barely surviving, especially af [...]

    18. Young and old alike will enjoy this new series. Scary, creepy and suspenseful it will leave you wondering who else will turn up on R.L. Stine's Most Wanted list.Jay is a 12-year-old boy who loves doing science experiments. Despite his efforts to be good, Jay finds himself in all kinds of trouble and the Lawn Gnomes are just the beginning. This was my first time reading a Goosebumps book. My youngest son has read every single one and now I know why he has loved them so much. The author intro is fan [...]

    19. The "Most Wanted" series features favourite villains from the original Goosebumps series. Stine gives an author's introduction to the book and the series. I haven't read too many of them yet so didn't get the nostalgia value of meeting up with the Lawn Gnomes again that other readers will but this was a good story if not great. Jay has moved in the middle of summer and in his new neighbourhood right away, he feels something's not right. Things just get weirder and weirder. Having a proven record [...]

    20. Planet of the Lawn GnomesKey issues: some of the key issues are Jay staying out of trouble and staying away from the evil lawn gnomes.Jay Gardner: Protagonist, always gets inTrouble, and always tries to mess with the neighbors house. Jay just moved into a new neighborhood because he was always getting in trouble In his last town. But when he moves he doesn't change his thoughts about pranks. He always loves to be funny whenever he has a chance. There is also something different about his neighbor [...]

    21. Fountas-Pinnel Guided Reading: N/AMain Characters: Lawn gnomes, Jay, ElliotSetting: The setting takes place in Jay’s new neighborhood. POV: The story is told from Jay’s point of view. The book is about Jay moving to a new neighborhood because he has caused too much trouble in his old neighborhood that his family is forced to leave. His parents are tired of his little antics and bad behavior. However, the new town Jay moves to is strange to him. Something is not right and he can sense it. He w [...]

    22. When I was younger, I used to love reading all the different Goosebumps books. I loved imagining in my head what was going on with all those kinds of monsters that the author talked about. The Planet of the Lawn Gnomes is a creepy story about a troubled kid, Jay Bird. Jay would always get in trouble in his neighborhood so they were forced to move. Their new neighborhood though, couldn't have been any more creepier. There are lawn gnomes in every yard, and when you least expect it, they are in a [...]

    23. My son (12) and I both read this book and then compared notes. His Review:Goosebumps Most Wanted Planet of the Lawn Gnomes by R.L. Stine is very exciting and intense. The main character Jay Gardener explores his new neighborhood that his family moved to. There is something suspicious about all the lawn gnomes and some weird big birds. Plus no one is allowed outside at night. He meets a new friend later in the book and finds out something peculiar about him and his family. If you like fantasy and [...]
